Test Prep Fun and Games Round Up

If you're like me, you wonder how hard to push that day before state testing. Do we cool off and give them an encouraging speech? Do we push til the last minute and make great use of our time? I never know. I've been at schools that I SWEAR quizzed kids literally as they walked out the door til dismissal. I've also worked at schools that blew off the day before testing and instead watched a movie. For me, the answer feels like it should be somewhere inbetween.

Below you will find some FUN and ENCOURAGING games to play with your friends they can enjoy before their state testing. I wish I could take credit for these games. but will make sure I link to their rightful owners. Good luck!

  1. These are awesome ideas! I love doing fun things in the classroom... I think it encourages engagement and participation. I have several kids who frequently refuse work. With my academic groups I used to do games all the time... maybe I should try some of these with my behavior class!
