SLANT (freebie!)

I recently took part in a grant initiative to increase ELA performance. One of the teacher clips we watched at the training had this young, impressive teacher with all eyes on her. She used a technique called "SLANT" to gain their attention. When she said "SLANT" and clapped her hands, all of the students sat up straight and turned their eyes toward her. We watched her review the steps with all eyes on her. SLANT is  an acronym for the things your students should be doing while you are speaking/lecturing.

I love this! So excited to use it.

I 've made some slides. Click here  to download. I made this using PowerPoint. In order to print each page, print 1 slide per page.

Enjoy!
